03 · The terms
How subscriptions work
- The free trial
- You choose a plan when you start. For 7 days you have every feature of that plan and pay nothing. When the trial ends, the plan renews at the price the store showed you, monthly or yearly as you chose.
- Renewal
- Plans renew automatically until you cancel. The store charges your Apple ID or Google account at the start of each period, and tells you before any price change applies to you.
- Cancelling
- You cancel in the store, not in the app: in your Apple ID subscriptions on iPhone and iPad, or in Google Play's subscriptions on Android. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Restoring a purchase
- New phone, or signed out? Restore Purchases, in the app's subscription settings, reconnects a plan you already own to your account.
- Refunds
- Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, under its rules. Apple and Google both have a refund request page; we cannot refund a store purchase ourselves.
- When a plan ends
- You keep your account. Nothing you entered is deleted.
- Family plans
- One person pays and invites up to four others. Everyone keeps their own account and password. Members see each other's names and where their cycles sit, nothing else. If the payer cancels or removes you, that plan no longer covers you.
