Editorial policy

How we write, what we will not say, and how the words in the app are made. Short, because the rules are few.

01

The one rule

Describe where the cycles sit, invite reflection, never predict. Every reading in the app, every page on this site and every answer from the Companion is written to it. We do not say that a day will be good or bad, that something will happen, or that a reading is accurate. We do not give medical, psychological, financial, legal or safety advice, and we do not describe biorhythms as science.

02

The pages on this site

They are written by the people who make BioCalendar. Where a page makes a factual claim, about history or about research, it names its source, and the evidence page states plainly that studies of the theory did not support it. We may use writing tools, including AI, to draft; a person who knows the product checks every fact and every sentence before it is published, and is responsible for it.

03

The readings in the app

The cycle positions are calculated by the app's own engine, counted from your date of birth, the same way every time. No AI is involved in that, and nothing can change it.

The 512 standard readings were written over many years by the founder and are matched to the three cycle states for a day. The personalised readings on Plus and Family Plus, and the Companion's answers, are written with the help of an AI service. The AI is given where your cycles sit, your goals, your "About you" answers and the date, and, for the Companion, what you type. It is never given your name, email address or date of birth. It is instructed to follow the one rule above and to decline medical, financial, legal and predictive questions, and its answers are checked against that rule before they are shown.

Every AI answer has a Report button. Reports go to a review queue that a person reads, and what we learn changes the instructions the AI is given.

Corrections

If something on this site or in the app is wrong, or reads as a claim we say we do not make, tell us at support@biocalendar.net. We fix mistakes on the page and, where it matters, say so on it.
